ok, this is the second time its happened, near the end of my second moto, the clutch becomes waay too easy to pull and its not completely engaging, our only guess is that when the bike overheated it boiled the clutch fluid, so we're gonna bleed it and put all new fluid in it, hopefully it works, if not, im getting that anti-hopping clutch lol

topped it up and it ran like a champ, no problems whatsoever, my buddy's ohlins stabilizer blew though, so he wont have it for the weekend.
there was air in the lines, so we bled it and it worked fine.

i had the same issue with my ktm race quad , its basically that the stock magura liquid from the factory gets too hot boils and then loses its compressability...basically the boiling point is too low.
very simple fix , drain out the stock fluid , and flush it and then fill it with dextron 3 ATF fuild , or similar , thats automatic transmission fluid .
I got this info from the GNCC race team...

ok, update, my clutch would work fine every time after we topped it up, but, about halfway through each race, the clutch would be useless. We figured it out the other day, the clutch fluid line was bad, so we replaced it and we went a whole weekend without outting a drop into it

Same thing happend to me, Oil was not getting through the screen on the bottom of the motor. This caused everything to get hot . Then burned up the slave cylinder in the clutch. Waht a pain in the ass.

Just had the same thing happen. I put a filter on the end of my crankcase breather. The filter got oil soaked and blocked up. The result was that it preasureized my crankcase and I lost my clutch. Came good after a couple of hours sitting.
I have fixed it by putting on a one valve in the way crank breather, then venting it down with the carb overflows.

Make sure your clutch fluid is full and use the Magura blood mineral oil (or similar) as my brother has used some cheaper mineral oil (like some from Walmart) before and it exhibits the same symptoms as you're describing. It would work when the engine is cold or cooler but the clutch gets very easy to pull on the lever when the engine warms up.

Tried the ATF fluid one time, yes it was a bity easier to pull the lever but the master cylinder then gave up about 6 months later, had to get a new full cylinder/lever.

The ATF (i used dexron lll) seemed to be a lot less 'oily' to me. I put the hydraulic oil back in.

Having issues with this right now. Am about to put a master cylinder piston kit in as have swapped the master cyL and line off other bike and problem has gone. So it's either the cylinder seals OR the line. I can't imagine how/why the line would be an issue but symptoms were same as above. IE as bike heated up, lost clutch...
