TEKvest is a Kinmount ON based company making specialized chest protectors. they are mostly used for sno-X but they have now developed a new ventilated model, i rode with it last year and wil be using it again this year. it absorbs the impacts instead of letting you take it. I love mine and its gotten me out of some sticky situations.

I wear the SX PRO-lite under pure snow, it is an awesome ATV chest protector

Jason Jones at ESPN X-Games

Most snowmobilers and millions of TV viewers around the world saw the dramatic video shot of Jason Jones getting hit at the 1998 X games in Colorado. Hardly a day goes by without a caller asking us what happened and how "Jumpin Jason Jones" is doing now.

Jason would like everybody to know that he's back, 110% better than ever and ready to engage the competition!

Here's Jason's story

"At the X Games the ESPN camera guys came up to me and asked if they could put a camera on my machine. I said sure, why not, as long as it doesn't interfere with my racing. At the start of the heat Joey from Team Arctic told me to really watch out when going up the hill. Chris Vincent was coming up from the outside and cutting in real hard. I said ok, no problem, and then got going up the hill and about then Chris did just that! We hooked trailing arms and went over the double but didn't have enough speed. I came up short and all of a sudden I heard this noise and knew it was above me and then David Brown landed right on top of me.

I went limp, fell off the machine and tried to get up and win this thing! All of a sudden I felt this bad pain in my forearm. I looked down and could see bare bone and lots of blood! They got me off the track and to the hospital real fast!..I'm real lucky to be here today to tell you about this. The Tekvest saved my life and I definitely recommend that all drivers wear one !"

footnote : Jason only suffered a dislocated shoulder in addition to the severe damage to his left forearm. It was a phenomenal camera shot that has been ranked number 3 in ESPN Extreme sports coverage history and is ranked number 10 in the history of motor sports coverage!
