anyone have optimum jetting for keeping the stock pipe.

Elevation? we ended up at 160mj here at 2900ft, with the 0D needle raised one on my 525

Actually we are around 2400ft. Walt. firebird is 2700ft. Just an fyi. LOL

btw, what about for a stock SX 0-500ft elevation?

Id say 175mj and 4th clip down on the needle.That will get you close I bet.

This friend now, has a 525XC with stock filter, snorkel removed and Akrap slip on. He runs at see level, max 200ft above.
What you'd suggest?

180mj, 4 clip on red needle, 45pilot...?
fuel screw, 2 turns?

I'm far from him now, and he alone doesn't want to mess a lot with it because he has no experience so he wants some directions.

That sounds about right, my 450xc is at 175, 42 and 4th clip down.
Fuel screw you need to mess around with.

He put 178mj, 4th clip red needle, 45 pilot, 2 turns on fuel screw. It's sick now but it's backfiring a lot on decel...watch
525XC, snorkel removed and akrapovic slip on only



Smaller main jet? less on fuel screw?...

the dreaded night time stab the throttle and watch the flames trick..............

to much accel pump ?

ride it and see what it does under load.......

I remember some people spoke about the header leak. Air sucked into header made fuel burning and then, popping...
Gonna check that too, thanks
