I just got an SX a few weeks ago, and i noticed that there is quite a bit of movement where the bar clamp mounts to the streering stem. Basically where the rubber anti-vibe cones are. I can move the handlebars (and clamp) front to back more than on any other quad Ive owned. Everything is torque'd to spec. The play is really the bolt moving around inside the collar (tube) that goes inside the rubber bushings. Is this normal on these bikes or do i have a problem?

Maybe fill the shaft with silicone? Or remove the shaft/replace with tighter?

Thanks for the replys.

Brad does yours have play in it, or not? Im planning on getting a new stem anyhow cause im not really a fan on this aluminum, erector set style stem...but in the meantime just wanted to see if this was normal or not?

I'll let you know in a couple weeks :) I have been waiting for TOO long for it to show up.
