Yes. as long as it is the S model Outlaw or the MXR and not the IRS, the engine is the same. The engines out of the IRS models had different engine mount locations. All parts off the engines will all interchange between the KTM XC and the Outlaws, only the engine cases on the Outlaw IRS were different.Magic polaris?
Will this engine bolt into my ktm frame!?
That is correct. And the IRS model only came with a 525 motor I believe.

Not sure who you think didn't recognize it. The OP's thread title says 525 and then he started talking about a 450 motor. We just wanted to make sure he knew what it was he was going to purchase.Let's get to the point....YES.....YES........YES....IT WILL.
This is not a Predator. It's an Outlaw.
Surprised you guy's didn't recognize it. It's in the "title" MXR; and the shock? WOW, Come on guys.
BTY the Outlaw did not replace the Predator they just flat out dropped it for ALL THE OBVIOUS REASONS....Sales, performance, durability, power, handling, weight, popularity, It totally was not a looker, and so on and so on and on......In fact if the Outlaw didn't have the KTM powerplant it would be long gone too.
The Outlaw 525 S and the Outlaw IRS engines are different at the rear where they mount up. The S is a straight axle; 1 pivot bolt through the frame - swinger - engine.I thought I read somewhere that just the 2008 irs motor mounting was different. In 09 and up motors where the same between all outlaws.
To sheriff525
Congrats on your KTM. The Polaris 525 IRS/570 should be plenty stout.
Unfortunately it WILL NOT FIT into your KTM. The case and mounting points are TOO DIFFERENT.
The Outlaw IRS engine only fits the Outlaw IRS.
You can switch out the cylinders on both though. That's the only difference between the KTM 525XC and the Outlaw 570.
If the 570 has port/cam just switch the head along with the cylinder.
