Piston failure ?

Has anyone heard of this??? I am hearing talks of the piston not lasting longer than 30 hours?? Maybe my friends are just making thing´s up, they drive Yamaha YFZ450 and i have replaced the crankshaft in two of them and the third one is on it´s way, so it seems they don´t last more than half hour hahahaha
