I m getting high temp silicone (not the permatex one) next week, couldn't find anything similar around here so had to get it from Lebanon, it can take til 700°F. So, I d like to know where I should put the sealing:

-Inside the header

In this case, I was planning on measuring the length of the engine part and apply inside the header with a q tip. Any opinion and advice highly appreciated.

-On the engine piece

In this case I was planning on puting a good quantity of sealant and slowly insert the header.

-On the assemby

should be the easiest one to do sine I won't need to remove any parts, but is it efficient?

Hopefully going to dedicate time during next week for this fix. Welding is not an option, I can't find professionals around here....

And again, I appreciate all your help. and also thanks for Lost Down Under's pics

I'D add it (if anywhere) on the picture remaining, if you add it to the inside of the pipe and slide it on there's good chance that some will go on the inside of the motor or blow out threw the exhaust and plug it up. So If you add it to the outside any extra excess will just push against the flange and you should be ok. Make sure to let it cure completely before you try to start it. BTW, what state do you live in? I'm in Oregon and we also have a city "Lebanon"

Actually, I live in Cote d'Ivoire, in west Africa. I m Half french half Lebanese, so Lebanon is a country in the middle east. And hey first one to get a ktm atv in the country lol

Oh btw, what should I do for the part where the pipe goes in the exhaust? I guess put some on the pipe and insert the muffler right?
