ok, i'm sure someone else out there knows exactly what i'm talking about. everyone has told me that this is normal for this motor, but also has said it can be taken care of with some re-jetting/carb work. mine's literally throwing fire out the back! i've re-jetted to a 175 main and 45 pilot, turned my fuel screw 2.5 turns out...still popping. anyone got a good cheap fix?

Head pipe leak IMHO mine did it until I put the exhaust on

Header leak. It is sucking air in when you chop throttle and burning it in the header causing the poping. Aftermarket exhaust seems to seal better at the head and eliminate the problem.
