I read that the intake valves are too soft of a material to hold up against the head. Is this a fact? and how much of a problem is it? I just have my whole motor redone for this season, and replaced the valves with stock ones. Should i have gone a different root? Will they hold up for a season of racing?

You should be fine for the season, you have to remember these FRS engine came from the 2 wheelers, and they don't bother working on them till they hit 150-200 hours, next time the motor is open, send the head to DJH, Travis, or Calflash, and have KW's +1 valves installed, they know these motors very well.
