I had a titanium 4 on my KFX 700 with powerbomb header. It really woke up my KFX. I also added jets and K&N at the same time so whos to say how much of it was the FMF. But I can say that in my opinion, it sounded better than the others. Again, I would rather have the better performing one than the better sounding one. Time will tell. We will have to wait for some dyno tests to see.
Seem very stylish

About the Powerbomb, anyone with feedback on another atv models?

Yeah, i was talking about the powerbomb because i want to compare a full system (fmf headers with powerbomb+slip on) against just a slip on akrapovic evolution. That is because for the price of the akrap slip on you could get a full system from FMF. What would be better in therms of horsepower?

The KTMs have a massive headpipe from the factory. The company with the best can design will win. I have found that with high performance models that you cant really improve on the factory headpipe design (unless doing heavy engine modification). The only benefit sometimes is a few ounces of weight. I really wouldnt bother with an aftermarket headpipe for the KTM. Alot of companies are making good slipons. I am going to try leaving the factory one on for a while. I may change it if I see some big gains on the dyno.

not so sure on that, generally the aftermarket headpipes benefit the low end and mid range characteristics.

On our yfz 450's we've seen better torque and about 1/2hp at max rpm from headpipe changes, is it worth it, thats up to the individual.......

patrick, do you have the full system or just the slipon? if you have the full system do you have the powerbomb or mega bomb header?

full system w/ mega bomb, mega bomb is a little more quiet and helps in the low end powerbomb is supposed to help out in top end.

I have the 4.1 slip on and stock header. Where the the muffler slips onto the header is a little big and i have an exhaust leak. I've tried honda bond and yamabond, both blew out. Im thinking about using a heavy duty wormgear glamp, any other suggestions?

thats msrp, who pays msrp, I surely don't... Based on the 3 stocking dealers I have spoken with, the fmf slip on's are going for $279-$329 and the full system's for $459-$629.

I would entertain owning a dasa, but refuse to pay msrp. I have owned one for my LTR and am very familiar with there performance.

I was pissed because the two women I spoke to were rude about it when I called back and asked for them to explain there pricing... Makes no sense that a full system is less than $100 more...

when i installed just the slip on i didn't notice it being bigger but i did use high heat silicone gasket maker and let it set 24hrs no leak.
hope this helps
