I've trawled through the various sites and compiled the following part numbers and RRP for the KTM listed performance camshafts, interesting to note that KTM also has a part number and price for the Hotcams unit in there system as well. Cams are from mild to wild.

59036010000 CAMSHAFT 55 520 RACING 2000 $152.98 This is most probably the stock ptofile

59036010100 CAMSHAFT 8/06 $159.86

KTMS1A HotCams Racing Cam KTM RFS 400-525 $189.95

59036110000 CAMSHAFT 8/33 $149.70

SMS36010000 CAMSHAFT 8/07 MSP $260.83

In the chart below the 55/21 is a stocker out of the 2 wheelers, gives a baseline to compare the others. whats not shown is the timing of each lobe, overlap etc which can later the characteristics of two "similar" looking cams. I'd like to acknowledge Cut7 over on KTM talk who measured and compiled the cam data.

I can't find 8/06 cam, very interested in that one to mod the engine. How you compare it to hotcams stage1? people say that 8/06 is a better "all around" and hotcams is more for high end rpms and you'll lose bottom...

Yup thats the general feedback from the two wheeler guys.

go to the KTM hard parts website

KTM Hard Parts Website

in the top right corner there is a search box, type in camshaft 8/06 and it will bring up the details.
I have a 8/06 cam Im going to sell. It was used as a dyno cam only. It has less than 2 hours on the cam. I will sell it for 125 shipped in the usa

Moto, what was the result from the dyno runs, I presume you looked into the KTM cams during the 610 kit build up ? ? the guys on KTM talk are tending to go with the 8/07 on the 610's

The 8/06 cam has the best powerband for all types of riding. The 8/07 cam pulls better on top and works well with the 610 and drag builds. If you use this cam in small engines you make it lose its best trait "ridability" The 8/07 in the big cc builds 576,610 has a little less snap of idle and builds to a nice hard pull to the rev limiter. The 8/06 hits hard and pulls hard in a 450,525,540.

I'm going with a 576 (540kit+stroker) so what would you recommend? 8/06 or 8/07?
I will use high revs but not too much. More around 5000-8000
I would use the 8/06 in most builds its just a realy good cam
what kind of rear wheel #'s you seeing with a built 610 ? a better answer might be what gains over a stocker are you seeing.

450 XC to 610 XC

I gained 22hp and 19 ftlbs on one 610 with 11-1 compression, stock pipe, stock carb, stock valves, stock airfilter, 8/06 cam
I gained 29hp and 22 ftlbs on one 610 with Akrapovic pipe, 43 fcr, + 2 valves stock, airfilter, 11-1 compression, and my cam

Hmm so the akrap + 43fcr + 2"valves + airfilter and dif. cam gave more 7hp. Nice to know, thanks

Any one seen the new Hot Cam specs? They list the specs as

10.8mm/ 271* IN
10.2mm/ 261* EX

Is this a new updated cam? The part number is 3015-1

What cam are you running? What does "my cam" mean?
