    Okay guys post em up so we can see how / what / where.

    This is a very neat setup I found "somewhere on the net" uses the earls curved oil cooler unit, if this is your setup let me know so I can credit you with what is a very slick install

    Polaris Outlaw 525 IRS - 2011
    , lonestar plus 2 A Arms, cut MXR front shocks (minus 1 ") with ZPS / ttripple rate, FUJ rear suspension rear shock mount units drops ride height 2", FUJ HD adj sway bar, 1.5” rear billet wheel spacers, Polaris nerfs, bumper and rear rack, Yoshi competition slip on, Pro Taper bars, acerbis hand guards, Trailtech GPS with billet protector. KTM throttle / Honda Front master cylinder and shorty lever / 41mm carb & hi flow intake runner / big filter / Billet FCR transition ring. Modified rear spring package / rear revalve.

    next round of mods: 8/33 cam, Hi Flow water pump and 540 cylinder / wossner piston waiting to go in, fastway 3 steering damper ala KTM setup, custom header using KTM XC header as a starting piece, light flywheel setup.
    gotta have something to modify this year !

    , My Wife Nicola's ride & my back up mxer - 493 BB / JE piston / special order Yoshi motard cams / custom fueling map / tcs LT ZPS front end setup, TCS rear ZPS revalve / ims tank / TB exhaust / power commander / proflo - K&N / 14 deg flexx's / race nerfs / armadillo bumper/ Denton damper, next round of mods: ported head and carillo rod...... the clark kent of the ATV trio ! 210 hrs and still going strong ! the BB kit transformed this machine, it hauls the mail now !!!!

    bit on the small side, I have guys running hot raptors who are looking to "go bigger" on the oil cooler...... but yes a good quality cooler rather some of the rubbish out there,,,,,,

    so in short then running a larger cooler is better and what u feel comfortable with. im looking into a 400ex cooler right now. we will see how it all turns out.

    instead of running rubber or braided lines along the engine, what do you guys think of running the lines behind the engine and then down and underneath it? maybe even use hardline instead.

    I think it would have an OEM look aside from looking sick as all hell. Honestly I tried it with 3/8 brake line and it just turned into a pain with me. Decided to use the Earl's stainless lines and fitting which was a hell of alot easier. If your patient enough I say go for it. Heck if you powdercoat it or paint it it would look 10x as sweet!

    Somewhere around here Pops 77 ( Brian ) has some pics of his install where he used a combination of braided and form fitted steel lines that are polished. The install looks very trick.


    Personally. I would worry about any hard line that was run "under" the motor. If a rock were to hit it and collapse the line you could run into issues with no or low oil flow to the motor. "Although the oil pressure by-pass should kick in and stop engine damage from happening."

    But it is something that would still worry me.

    I am actually thinking of replacing the hard oil line that runs to the top of the motor on my RFS motor as I have had one break on me two years ago during a trail ride. Thinking that a nice braided line in that location is just the ticket.

    Well this only took probably a year and half, but finally!!! BIG thanks to PolarisBob and PoPs77s,(I bugged the shit out of them off and on for the year and half) and many others! I'm still not totally happy with the hoses but I'll see what happens in the future.
