    OEM piston rings gap positioning.

    Morning... afternoon... evening...

Just replacing my piston rings and i cant see any marks on the piston for the ring gaps.

Is there a special place the gaps should face in the barrel or is the oem piston rings free moving????

    TIA

Should be “free moving”, just make sure they face the right way. I like to positions all the gaps in different spots so the compression doesent have a direct path the blow by.
