    Axle difference

What's the difference in axles from sx and xc. Are they actually wider? I thought they just made them wider by using the spacers inside the wheel instead of on the wheel

no the sx axle is actually wider it has a spacer too but i think it is probably the same or really close to the xc spacer, never looked really close at it though.

Just as a side question, what is the MAX width of the XC axle....and what is the MIN. width of the SX axle (with 10" wide tires)?

max xc axle is 48.5" and max sx is 50" right on if i remember correctly. i would guess sx minimum to be 46 or 47" as the spacers have to be at least 1 1/2 in. wide. you can cut the spacers in order to get it to the exact width you want. both are with tires on that are 10"

can an sx axle fit straight onto the xc or did i read somewhere that you have to use the little half moon clips from an sx?
