    Looking for more info on the steering stem

    I've been reading about problems with the steering stem. I have an '08 and I do not have any looseness in the stem/bushing at the moment. But from what I'm reading, it will wear the stem and not the bushing?

    So I should get the '09 bushing support, is that because it's stronger and won't break or does it do anything for the wear. If there is a good thread on this already, point me there, I haven't found a complete thread on it.

    What about what some are saying about putting a grease zerk in it and just keeping it greased, will this work well enough? I go over my ride every year and that's one more thing I can cover during the winter.

    Thanks. Yeah, that should be a sticky. Looks like I'm going to have to do this mod. I don't have a problem yet, buy why wait if it helps the steering that much.
