I use a bench vice and 2 x 3/4" drive sockets to press them in.

Just food for thouight, I have bought two complete sets of joinnts from Houser, and they do not come with any grease in them. They come just like the factory joints, dry. My new set was dry to the point that they sqweeked right out of the box. i ended up pulling them back off and drilling the bottom each joint and adding grease fittings. Problem solved.

How did you add the grease fittings?

After reading this I ordered 2 sets at the shop and installed them. Same part, I don't see how these are HD in any way. Even say FRAP on the bottom like the ktm ones do. The only difference I can see is the Houser ones don't have the 5mm allen hole in the center of the post to keep them from spinning when tightening the nut.

So how do you tighten it without the ball joint stud spinning? I have a set too, but i think either the tops have the allen keys and bottoms dont or vise versa, cant remember. Im supposed ro be putting mine on tonight!

Did yours come without grease also? I didn't check mine before I shippped them off. I guess I'd better check mine when they get back from JB Racing.

To keep the ball joint stud from spinning I used a vice grip clamp, like for clamping pieces of wood together. With the upper and lower joints in the spindle I squeezed the upper and lower together with the clamps forcing the studs tightly into the taper of the spindle hole. Then they didn't spin.

How do you take the sacks off to grease them? Is everyone taking the top part off or the bottoms?

I use a needle tip to slip inbetween the stud and the boot to shoot a little grease in there. Don't over do it though, you can blow the boot off as they go through the range of motion. At the least it make a greasy mess.
