Any solution for a rotor guard?

Ok, I have learned alot on here and really appreciate it, but I'm having a serious issue with this stock skid plate. Two races in a row the stock skid plate has caused me to get hung up multiple times during the race. The first race was with my carrier rotated. Needless to say........ it wasn't pretty. I probably spent more time using reverse or getting off the quad to get the quad unstuck than racing. The second race was better since I rotated the carrier back to normal position,but........ I still got stuck occasionally.
Now, with the above stuff mentioned, I do have a sprocket guard, but have been hesitant to install it since there isn't a solution for the rotor guard. And yes..... I do have a Blingstar rotor guard ordered,BUT................ I was curious if there was something else out there thats better. Im not too hip on the idea of using a modified brake stay to protect my rotor. IMO, it puts stress on the carrier. But, Im pretty much desperate at this point if I plan racing this KTM anymore. So, if anybody has pics of a homemade rotor guard, or knows somebody that makes them and has pics, please post!

When i got my sx the guy just cut off the sprocket half and used the long lug nuts to hold the sprocket on. I never asked him about them, but i am guessing it is so when he would get in a rut the brack disk is protected and the chain could help him along also the lug nuts would grab if he got deep enough. you could also put the sprocket protector on the sprocket side with the lug nuts i am guessing.

I want to try the one side sprocket guard from Texteria and then cut the original skid so I have a "fin: to protect the rotor. I am going to race GNCC in pm so I need all the clearence possible. I was hoping to see some pics of somebody who did this. Also I don't belive I will need a chain guard, is that correct?

    ANY PICS WOULD BE APPRECIATED!!!

JB racing used to make one but stopped due to lack of demand. Here is a picture of it. As for a chain guide, KTMBILL makes a bolt on adapter so you can use a TM Designs chain guide.

I have not installed it yet, been out with a broken leg. I tried to get JB to make some but he said no. Action was selling JB stuff. I actually got lucky and got this one off their eBay store. They might have another one.

Yep, this is the one I got from Flash. He includes the hardware to mount it also. Very nice, my only concern is I wont be able to run a chain guide. If push comes to shove, I can fab something up at work, but they tend to frown on government projects during work hours. lol

I had a burrows setup on my 450r and if I don't go riding this weekend, I'm going to try making the same for the ktm. I just not overly impressed with the stock skid mounts. On the 450r they are tapped right into the swing arm and transfer the impact without hurting the mounts. The ktm has the standoff mounts and any decent impact tears out the nuts or crushes the mount. I thinking about using the stock mounts but putting some plastic from the stock skid between my new one and the swing arm. Maybe if there isn't a gap, the impact will be transferred directly to the swing arm instead of just the mounts.
What are your thoughts on this?
Flash-I sent you an email for a sprocket guard.

I never ran a guide on the 450r. If I did anything on the ktm, I'd like to make a stock banshee/blaster guide work. However, I think it will just get ripped off and jammed in the chain. Actually, I think that exact thing happened to Jake Wyatt at mountain view last year.

Funny you mention that Matt, I got a brand new Banshee UPP chain guide sitting right here! The problem is I would have to fab a braket for it.

The FRE/KTM's appear to run that JB rotor guard.

Not really sure, it uses the warrior/banshee style guide. I'd assume if the mounting holes are the same then it should fit. JB Racing can also modify your swingarm for a guide, I do not know what style he puts on.
