make sure you put a strap or something over it to hold it in place, i was running 3rd with 2 laps to go in pro and it was moving around so much it pulled the carb off teh cylinder, needless to say i DNFed, we ziptied it down and it worked great the next moto, too badthere was a 3 KTM pileup in the first corner.

oh well, better luck next weekend

    EDIT:
    heres our solution, works great!

I had the same issue with the FCI on my YFZ, it was too loose where it passed throughthe airbox opening and came off several times, in that case I used a rubber gasket to reduce the gap making it tight as, I did recommend to Garret that he consider moulding lugs to allow the thing to be bolted to the airbox.

I reckon a bolt through the location lugs each side of the tube fixed through the plastic would do the trick, or even a big square section of velcro on the underside of the tube / top side of the plastic would work.

what we ended up doing was bending a piece of aluminum to sit on it and bolted it to that and mounted the aluminum under the white pastic lugs, ill post pics later this week

You can also split a piece of rubber and put it on the airbox where the fci intak enters it, reducing the gap and holding the fci tube in place. I definitely like the aluminum mount as well, great idea and a solid one for sure

Mine seems to fit awsome, but I don't run the spacers in the kit with the FCI, and my seat holds the tube down very well.

thats funny, cause i think i member saying that it needed some ears and maybe bolt it to those 2 bolts to hold it in place...

    lol,

at least ya got a fix for it, did you seal those sheetmetal screws to make sure they hold and dont allow dust to be sucked in?

Sorry to dredge up an old thread but I was wondering how many people are using the seat spacers? Seems like the seat resting on the FCI would hold it down very well but would it break it?

i dont run the spacers on my XC and have no issues with two trips to glamis. The seat holds it down just fine. i did put a piece of 1/4 inch foam on the bottom left over from my Shoria battery.
