    Replacement Airfilter and Airbox setups

    Guys

    I'm assembling a data file like the one I just compiled for the A arms, I need good quality pictures of the Rath and others kits as installed.
    KTM 505 SX: Web cams / 13.5:1 custom CP / balanced and modded crank / custom Vortex X10 ignition / Ported head / 43.5mm billet centre bored carb / KTM Akrapovic muffler / Mino hi vol water pump / 12 deg flexx's / houser stem / elka 5 / PEP PB1's and PEP LT rear / Walsh Flow A Arms / Quad tech seat & Foam / CF nose / FCI intake / relocated batt box / KTM Bill header / KTM factory SS Oil Pump setup / DJH cam chain tensioner

    12 inches from the carb boot to the airfilter flange, filter is 6 inches long so 18 inches overall.............

    thats a stock KTM intake trunk with the rear filter section cutoff and a round adaptor stuck up it's butt with a K&N hanging on it ?

    so homdaddy what diameter filter is that 4" ???

    its a 4 something that im going to try. thats tparsleys foot you can see
    i just got back from a week of dunning and my 637 held together so now on to modding again

    Homdaddy, it should work, I've been running that set up over the last year. I don't have to worry about the boot pulling off from the carb anymore.

    did you feel any power from this or was it the same as stock, right now i have a modded esr on mine but it sits up to high
    so my seat moves around

    I felt it on the bottom-end, it feels like it's got a little more power on the holeshots, coming out of corners, but you will have to play with the jetting a little bit. Also, now is a good idea to insert something inside the stock air tube so it doesn't collapse as the bike starts to get hot.
