    SX Special tools and part##s

    Ive spoken to our resident KTM guru and he tells me I need various special tools to disassemble the 450sx motor. Can anyone tell me what the part numbers or names are so I can order what I need. I need to tear this thing down asap so I can get my parts ordered. Thanx!

    Thanx but Im 99% sure I dont need the whole page of tools lol. Besides the crank locating pin what else?

    you need number 37 to set the timing of the cams. need a valve spring compressor if you canna do the valves. need clutch holder. you can make a tdc locking bolt from the right thread of bolt from a hardware store and grind the end into a point shape. the bolt will work on the xc motors also. get one that is about 4" long.
    -08 KTM 450xc - sx arms, high flow water pump, Quadtech hood, FMF factory 4.1 with megabomb, KTM large bumper, Rath nerfs, 806 cam, Ranchero carb mods, Kiwi spring mod.

    -09 KTM 450sx - Quadtech hood, Flex bars, KTM hardparts FMF slip-on, Pro-Armor nerfs,KTM large bumper, high flow water pump, Ranchero carb mods, Kiwi spring mod.

    it might, i havent been in these motors either. all i know is with the last work quad motor i did and the penny thing did not work. you also need the stator puller thing. motion pro has one for like 30 bucks. you may need more but I am sure you can either make something or find something from harbor freight that will work. that place is amazing for what you can find that work on an atv motor. i am sure you need a case seperator also.
