    Starting Problems

Im having trouble getting my quad to start. I've checked all fuses, charged the battery and still nothing. Ive had trouble before but it was just a dead battery but it would crank.
My issue now is that it doesnt crank or do anything, doesnt make a peep when i push the start button. Does anyone have any suggestion on what it could be, Starter, Solinoid??

    Thanks\Eric

it would be starter selinoid but i think it would make a click noise still. check the fuse off the side of the selinoid again and just switch it out in case. sounds like a awiring issue snce there is no power. what about if you hook a jumper onto it?

My guess is bad key switch. They are rubbish. Fill with crap then don't work. I have removed mine and have an on / off switch on the bars.

Try holding the start button and wiggle the key, see if you get any life.

not trying to hijack but would this do away with the key all together? I'm wanting to get rid of the lights and key location and have been looking at everyones different setups but havent seen any without the key all together.

Yes it does. I have an on off switch and start button only. Have removed the stock switch gear on left of handlebars.

I just use the kill switch. It cuts off everything but the fan and once it stops running you don't lose anymore power. My key is zip tied under my hood to the frame. I like it so much better. I drilled holes into my quadtech hood and put the lights in it. looks great. This setup is so much better than the key imo. you could just put the wires together though and get rid of the key al together.

Yeap, same here. I just use the kill switch. No need for on/off button - another thing that could brake ... keep it simple !!

when you guys are talking about the kill switch do you mean the on/off switch on the bars or the kill tether? I don't have the switch and light gear because I smashed it off in a crash on my sx but still have the one for my xc.

How do you wire it to the tether? Is it not normally an open circuit when the bike is running or is it different to tethers on say a Yfz or a trx

So when you say tie them all together. Do you mean like strip all 4 wires and have them all connected..
I tried removeing the key switch at connecter but that didnt work...
