Hey I am just wondering, does anyone know where I could find a Cannondale Moto 440 sport quad/ATV? I have a friend who wants one, and he has a Yamaha YFZ450 that he would get rid of to get a Cannondal Moto 440 ATV. This is not a wanted post, I am just looking for information as to where I might be able to find one. Let me know please

LOL! HI! thanks Mike (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif)

Check out www.cannondaleriders.com. That's the best dale community on the web. R&D is still done constantly for these things by the volunteers you'll meet there. In the used section there are quite a few nice dales for sale and reading some of the other posts you can see what kind of questions you need to ask as far as updates and such.

Personally, I would say don't bother with the ATK's only because they're basically re-badged dales with a hellacious price tag. A 2003 moto with all the updates and setup for nationals shouldn't set you back more than $4,000-$4,500. Feel free to PM me if you have questions about them, they're great quads if you want something unique and silly fast (IMG:style_emoticons/default/biggrin.gif) !

yea, the dale was like 7-10 years before its time imo. look, yama just sorta took from the dale engine setup lol. maybe patents up or somethin lol.

im really interested in the cassette transmission. just was something that intrigued me when i was lookin at purchasing one.

do they have any major issues in the trans?

i know about the crank update (i guess, im digging deep into memory) and that if you find one with the arvin meritor shocks that they had issues with the eye breaking off (also trying to member, and think i hae right shock spelling)

i would like to buy one like ron did on the low $$$ just for a project, cause they are rare, and i like rare shit that you dont see that often.

i drive a vehicle that alot of peeps still tell me its different and cool, still asked if its a new model even tho its over 3 yrs that i have had it, same thing with the KTM, peeps are always asking, so it only seems fit that i would still want a dale.

Everything i've ever heard about the Cannondale transmission is that it's bullet-proof. I've only ever heard of one failing and I think that was another issue that led to it if I remember correctly... They're a close ratio 4 with a high 5th for over-drive for gas mileage and HUGE top speed (i think stock w/ a moto map is right around 80... maybe a little higher) the other cool thing is you can change out that 5th if you want for the "motard" 5th that brings its spacing inline with the other 4 gears and makes it a close ratio 5 speed.

Check out www.cannondaleriders.com
This is the source for anything related to the cannondale atv. I still have an 02 Blaze and they are pretty awesome quads.
